My name is Tamar, recently I graduated at Shenkar Fashion Design school.
In this blog I'm presenting my portfolio, which shows mainly my final project.
My final project is inspired by my childhood memories from the (*)moshav I grew up in . Especially from my father's warehouse in the backyard. As a child I used to fold cartons in order to pack the grapes my family use to grow.
In the collection I used the carton geometric shapes and made silhouettes out of it. I tryed to create a dialog between this geometric shapes to a soft draping of fabric on the body. The choice of colors and materials is also affected from this world- my fשther's work shoes stained with mud, and his work clothes, dirty from spray material. The materials are mostly pure silk and wool- which have soft and sculptural draping.
